Northwoods Scrapbook Retreat started with two of my passions... Scrapbooking and Quickutz.

I started scrapbooking more than 10 years ago, while I was living in Calgary, Alberta. When I moved back to the States, I started working in a scrapbooking store in the Chicagoland area, which turned my hobby into a passion. At the store, I was able to test out all of the personal die-cutting systems on the market, and for me, it was no contest: Quickutz is the best choice, especially because of Quickutz's incredible warranty and storage system. I started using Quickutz in December of 2004, when the Red Holiday edition with Eliza hit the market. I just had to have it -- I searched everywhere for the set, calling one state after another, and finally, I located a set in Indiana. The thrill of the "hunt" became a real addiction, as my friends and I searched for all of Quickutz's discontinued dies to add to our collections. My Quickutz collection now includes ALL of the 2x2 dies -- and I must admit, I use them all.

Since then, I've turned my passion into a business -- I devote my time to helping my friends and customers find the Quickutz dies they need, and to organizing crops. I now live in Wisconsin, but I plan crops in various locations in the Midwest -- both single-day events and weekend retreats.
